Musik is an audio player for your site. Upload audio files to a folder and have your visitors listen to them. It allows full CSS customization and comes with 3 built-in themes.

Make sure to read carefully the instructions to set it up. It requires creating a specific folder and manifest file.

2026-10-11 (v1.4.3)
- Added secondary controls. They can be enabled via the secondary_bar setting. The secondary bar includes:
1. Volume controls
2. Repeat current track button
3. Shuffle button
- Default volume setting
- Scrollable titles. For long titles we can now auto-scroll them rather than hide them. This can be enabled with the scrollable_title setting.
- Added support for a JSON manifest allowing you to add custom titles for your tracks. You can switch between manifest.txt and manifest.json on the settings.
- Accessibility improvements, including ARIA labels, regions and reduced motion support.
- UI improvements for sizing, animation, colors, spacing and typos.
- Fixed latent bug where the widget would be shown before stylesheet_href loaded, leading to style flashes and CLS. Now the widget remains hidden until your custom stylesheet is loaded and applied.
- New icon (I still suck at Pixel Art!)
- Improved documentation when setting up the widget.
- "Musik" title now points to Widget.st (can be turned off via the backlink setting)
- Symbols for the controls are now SVG-based rather than Unicode, preventing weird symbols/emojis on some machines.

2026-09-05 (v1.3.0)
- Fixed issue where audio files couldn't load if your HTML document wasn't at the root
- Added randomize setting

2026-08-15 (v1.2.0)
  • Added autoplay option (due to browser restrictions, it still requires some initial interaction by the user)

really good widget! the blue and white theme fits perfectly on my site. I just wish there could be an optional volume button, as the music can be a little loud if i don't adjust the browser's volume beforehand.

this is one of my absolute favorite widgets i have pasted up on my site :] I love that its just a straight up plain mp3 player and there's no video player with it. it's straightforward and easy to setup & use and the dev is so kind and helpful when troubleshooting bugs or issues! my only thought of improvement would be if there could be a repeat 1 button but that's not really overly necessary <3 overall tho its the #1 widget i recommend to my friends!

This widget works perfectly and is very easy to set up! My only request is if you can add some kind of option to change the song title on the list. I use neocities but I don't have a subscription to allow me to save audio files to my dashboard, so I have to use a file hosting site. Because of that, the audio link ends up showing on the widgets audio list. Other than that, it's really good!
